12 days to Christmas!!! :)
Post of @WilsonLeeFlores of 82-year-old @KamuningBakery Cafe, on his attempt to buy a nice parol for the bakery...
Let us support small businesses, local businesses everywhere.
3 weeks ago due to a morning appointment in Manila, I had passed by Quiapo district on the way back to Quezon City & saw shops below a bridge.
Curious & fascinated by lots of colorful handicrafts, I asked the driver to stop the car at a shop to inquire how much was the colorful, elegant capiz shell #Christmas #parol or #lantern which had lights inside.
The woman said the parol was P2,000 pesos. I asked for a discount, but she replied that it's already sold & they that day had no other stock :(
She was just then wrapping it for buyer to get. She also had 2 young workers, who looked like high school age or college age kids, inside fixing or wrapping other handicrafts.
Though I wasn't able to buy that nice, colorful Christmas lantern, I asked her if I could at least take our photo via my cellphone.
Let the light of hope, good cheer, kindness & peace shine upon all of us this holiday season, also for this coming #NewYear!
Advance #MerryChristmas to all!
